Natural and story telling photography.

Natural and storytelling wedding photography focuses on capturing all the candid moments and genuine emotions. It goes beyond posed shots and involves observing and documenting the events of your wedding as they unfold. This approach aims to create a collection of images that truly reflect the spontaneity and real emotions of you and a couple and your guests throughout the celebration thus creating your perfect story.

Your wedding is exactly that, your day! We will aim to document your day whilst staying out the way as much as possible, we blend in with your family and friends and capture each moment in the truest form. The whole reason people book us at Lux is because we aren’t intrusive we are there to capture your day as it is and not turn it in to a photoshoot.

For full coverage this starts at bridal prep, no posing just natural images of the bride getting ready, make up and hair being touched up, fastening of the dress if wanted and all those little moments in between. This follows on to the ceremony and I-do’s and a little bit of confetti to celebrate the marriage.

Next is a big one, the formals, we always say keep it to immediate family I.e parents, grandparents, siblings, bridesmaids and groomsmen as no one wants to be spending over 45 minutes standing in the same spot waiting for the next group image. Keeping it to minimum formals makes the whole thing relaxing and straightforward (Most of the time anyway!)

On to the speeches, the stories, the tears and the laughter we capture it all!

And our favourite part of the day… the evening party, the images captured on an evening are some of our absolute favourites, the seriousness of the legalities are over and now it’s party time!

The super
relaxed portraits.

A lot of couples hate getting their photo taken, we get you! We are exactly the same and this is the reason why we work unposed and relaxed. For your couples portraits we will take you for a little walk no more than 15/20mins but usually even less to capture natural and in the moment images with no posing just fun and laughter. No stiff awkwardness and no cheesy positions.

We mention this all the time but the evening is where the fun truly does begin. We will be with you until dancing, capturing some of the awesome dance moves your guests throw out, we will pop a few below of our favourites!

We see it all, the latest dance trends and Tik Tok dances, dance offs between aunty Annie and the grooms best man and let’s be honest every adult loves re living their childhood with glow sticks which seem very popular at weddings lately!

    These two were just amazing, nothing was ever too much for them and they responded quickly to any concerns that I had prior to my wedding.

    On the day they blended into our intimate celebration and were amazing with our children.
